Updated 10/6/2010 |

As yet I have not made my mind up as to which sister this will represent so for now she remains 5 of 7.

WORKS IN PROGRESS: SEVEN SISTERS ACYLONE
|
|
Emissary Of Rapture III: The Vestibule of Uroboros (WIP pictured left)
I have spent quite some time on this piece and am actually trying hard not to "break" the file that lies at its core. That in itself, can get a little tedious to say the least. Software limitations can prove quite annoying at times.
The literature for this piece is coming together as I discover more limitations to the medium I am working in. As with the first in this series I am sure, I am about to find a breaking point very soon.

At the moment I am working on a logo design for Australian All Steel as well as business cards and letterheads. All to be completed before the end of the financial year.

WORKS IN PROGRESS: SEVEN SISTERS MEROPE |
Updated 3/5/2010 |
|
There is another sister in the works with regards to the "Seven Sisters Series" I started well over a year ago now. The 3rd sister "Merope" is now almost ready for a final rendering run, with the other 2 sisters "Electra" and "Calaeno" that I started previously to follow afterwards.
The inspiration for these pieces is the star sign Pleiades also known as "The Seven Sisters" along with the Greek mythology born from the stars themselves. So this is my take on the sisters stories, somewhat twisted maybe, but none the less this is the basis of all seven pieces.

The literature for part two of this series is well on its way (even though the artwork to accompany it is still only residing in the dark depths of my mind) ... Stay tunned!!
|
|
I have recently completed a very personal project called "Eye Of The Beholder" that involved my beautiful little girl Keighley helping "Dad" out for the cause. The piece itself (which will never be for sale and only 2 prints will exist) will reside only where they are meant to be. This piece is very special to me... As I hope it is to who it was created for.
It is especially important to me because it is the first piece I have ever done that includes my daughters help, and I hope not the last. It may not be my most complex work, some may call it simple in comparison to a lot of what I embark upon, but complexity sometimes pales in comparison to meaning.
The meaning behind this particular piece rests with me, for the one person it was made for...
and thereafter the meaning will rest in the hands of my beautiful little girl.

Currently I am working on designing a website for "Bunyip Tyre Service" after I offered my services to the value of $1000.00 in an auction at Wild Dog Winery to help raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal on April 2nd this year.
It was all for a great cause and I am proud to have the opportunity to help out the kids!!

FOR KEIGHLEY... |
Updated 23/2/2010 |
|
It has been a long time coming but finally I have revisited my artistic past and the result is this website. There are a few reasons for this but most notably the birth of my baby girl Keighley in December last year.
I want her to grow up with art, music and literature in her life, things I have neglected (sadly) over the past few years, but have had a huge impact on who I am as a person. I hope as she grows up she will encompass the ideals, morals and artistic nature that are undoubtedly within her genes. I love my little girl and these are all things I hope to pass on to her as her proud farther.

Another person I have to thank is someone I have known for almost a year now and is also someone very dear to me.
Jen, you really are one of the most amazing women I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
You have inspired me both artistically and intellectually and have played a big part in getting me to this point in my life. For that, I am truly thankful. I am proud to know you and even prouder to call you my friend.
Thank you for being you, don't ever change, and keep that plan in mind...
|
|
Last but definitely not least I have to thank my family and friends, some new, some old, for all their support in helping me decide to revisit my past not only artistically, but also musically. if I named them all here this page would be a mile long, but you ALL know who you are, I can't thank you guys enough!!
